My name is Cecilia Onuorah.
You may have heard about my story on the news: https://abc6onyourside.com/on-your-side/central-ohio-woman-homeless-amid-pandemic

Before Covid hit, I was a small business owner living a comfortable life with my son Ethan, who's five years old, and my daughter Amira, who's two years old.

I was pregnant with my son Sameer.

After Covid hit, I lost the clients for my cleaning business, and I wasn't able to find another job because of the shutdowns. I moved out of my apartment because I knew I couldn't afford rent and I didn't want an eviction on my record that would make it impossible to find a place in the future.
Since then, I've been trying to find childcare, a place to live, and a job so I can take care of my babies. I'm a small business owner, a former Montgomery County government employee with a college degree.
We've been staying in hotels and occasionally sleeping in my car. This money is to help me get back on my feet.
I've never been in this situation before so I really don't know how much to ask for. Every little bit is a blessing.
I've decided to set the limit at one month of expenses. I'll donate the rest. This is what the money is for:
Security deposit and one month's rent for a 2 bedroom apartment - $2,000
Beds and other modest furniture - $2,000
Daycare for Amira & Sameer - $1,000 ($125/wk per child x 4 weeks)
Car (my car was hit by an uninsured driver and is now missing a side mirror and barely running) - $2,500
School Supplies - $150
Food - $1500 (Just over $12 per day per person)
Computer (in order to work from home so I can be around Ethan I'll need a computer) - $500
Wifi - $50
Cell Phone Bill - $50
Utilities (gas, water, electric) - $100
Car Insurance - $80
Any extra money raised will be donated to Impact Community Action, which helps Columbus tennants facing eviction.

Thank you so much for your incredible kindness!
