A tribute to Alyssa & Jerry Adcock

Hi, my name is Marissa Loring. I am writing on behalf of the Adcock family, having known them for nearly 20 years. On Sunday, August 27, 2023, our family experienced a horrific double tragedy. Jerry Adcock, 34, and his wife Alyssa Sullivan-Adcock, 34 both died suddenly when their motorcycle collided with a deer on the road. Jerry and Alyssa leave behind two incredible children, Jayla, age 13, and Elizabeth, age 8. The funds raised will benefit their long-term care and educational costs.

Jerry and Alyssa had been together for over ten years, and they were raising their girls to be kind, brave, well-rounded individuals with a passion for life. “Lizzie” is a motorcross enthusiast and has been actively riding for over a year. Jayla has been dancing for several years. Jayla is her mother’s twin and has a gentleness and thoughtfulness that could have only come from her dear mother Alyssa. Lizzie has Jerry’s quick-witted sense of humor, with perfect timing and delivery. These wonderful girls are a true representation of their caring parents.

Alyssa and Jerry were genuine, kind, and selfless. They were the “rock” to so many members of our family. It has only been a few days since their passing and already their absence is profoundly felt. Their love for one another was apparent and together they were many things — parents, a daughter, and son, sister, and brother, the fun aunt and uncle, and friends to countless people who will forever hold them in their memories. Alyssa was a dedicated mom, a devoted friend, incredibly intelligent, and had a passion for riding. Jerry, too, loved his Harleys and playing golf, and there is no doubt he was hardworking.

Above all else, they were parents. Their love and dedication to their children was deep and unwavering and they will be incredibly missed. Help us continue to provide care for their girls in some of the ways they no longer can.

Your donation will be received by the family with heartfelt thanks and gratitude on behalf of Jayla and Elizabeth “Lizzie” Adcock and in memory of their parents, Jerry and Alyssa. Tracey Working, Alyssa’s mother, will be the one receiving your generous donation to care for our sweet girls’ future.

We thank you for your generosity.
