This is Otto from California's story…

"My brother, Otto, has given his entire life to others. For 41 years, he has worked at Disneyland, often six days a week and 10–12 hours a day. At the same time, he helped care for our father, a decorated WWII Veteran who served in the Pacific and received a Bronze Star. Despite our father’s service, he was denied basic support, and every attempt to get help was turned away.

Otto never hesitated when our parents needed more care. When costs grew beyond what I could manage alone, he sold his home, something he had saved for since he was a child, and moved into a small room so we could continue caring for them. Together, we gave everything we had to keep our parents safe, using up our savings and taking on full-time caregiving without outside help.

Our father lived a long and honorable life, working for 70 years and retiring at 94. Through war, illness, and hardship, he remained strong and generous. But in the end, it was Otto who carried so much of the weight quietly, without complaint, simply because it was the right thing to do.

Today, Otto is still working, but his health has suffered deeply. He survived a near-fatal heart event and now lives with lasting damage, yet he continues on because he has no other choice. After giving so much for so long, he is now the one who needs support.

We are asking for help for Otto. Your support will go toward basic living costs, medical care, and giving him a chance to rest and recover. If you are able to give or share, it would mean more than we can say. Thank you for helping someone who has always put others first."
