This is Jimmy from Tennessee’s story…

"Semper Fidelis means always faithful. At 20 years old, he did not yet understand what that truly meant. In 2006, after a night of reckless choices, he crashed his car and faced the consequences. With no direction and few options, he made a decision that would change his life. He chose to enlist in the Marines.

In 2007, he began training in San Diego and went on to become an infantry Marine. He built strong bonds with those he served beside and carried the values of honor, courage, and commitment. In 2008, he deployed to Afghanistan, where he faced the realities of war. Not all of his brothers made it home, and their loss stayed with him long after his service ended.

After his honorable discharge in 2011, he worked to rebuild his life. He stayed connected to those he served with and carried their memory forward. In 2025, he began building a small plumbing business, hoping to create a better future for his family.

Then everything changed. In October 2025, his five year old daughter McLaren was diagnosed with Diffuse Midline Glioma, a rare and aggressive brain tumor. Doctors gave her six months. Since then, life has been filled with hospital visits, long nights, and the pain of watching their daughter lose her ability to speak and move on her own.

Now, this family is facing a different kind of fight. They are doing everything they can to care for McLaren and hold onto each moment with her. Any support will help ease the burden and give them more time, comfort, and strength during this incredibly difficult journey."
