The beautiful little community known as Table Mesa Village has been an affordable place to live near Boulder, Co since 1960 or so. The residents here now have the opportunity to purchase the land under our homes, ensuring it will remain affordable for another 60 years or more. https://www.tablemesavillage.com/
During the pandemic, many of the residents here have had to live with reduced work and have a lot of financial anxiety about the future but the real estate value in Boulder has increased even more than usual! That means that buying our land right now is especially difficult. The state of Colorado is also low on tax revenue and does not have anything to help us right now, so we are hoping that the greater community will help us.
We have your teachers and therapists and plumbers and electricians and single parents and artists and wise elders living here and most of us will not be able to afford the rent increases that occur due to the fact that we do not own the land.
The money will go to a down payment for the mortgage. If we are unable to get the mortgage and buy the land, all donations will be refunded. Thank you to everyone reading this and please pass the word.
