Save our Matheson Park - West, for all !!

Thanks for viewing this fundraiser. We are looking to raise funds to stop the destruction

and perhaps the permanent closure of Matheson Park West by Miami Dade Parks Department and

City officials. They plan to close the park soon, to work on

the execution of a bogus Master Plan. That plan was not viable in 2015 and the same

it’s not now; does not address the needs of the Community, changes the whole character of the

place, and there is no transparency on the funds, if any, destined to it.

It is urgent to hire Legal Counsel to request all information regarding the Master Plan

authorization, Environmental Studies, Construction and Operational Budgets, People

responsible for planning and Authorization, and most important, records of public

hearings, etc.....

The funds requested will go to hire a Lawyer, and pay for the filing fees, if an

injunction is required to maintain the park open, and stop the deception of the

underfunded Master Plan.

All information regarding who will be representing the Community, status and expenses,

will be transparent and posted in Facebook.
