Help with legal fees
Donation protected
So it has come to this.....
After receiving a 3 day notice on Friday September 2nd (after city hall hours) to get rid of our family pets, despite all efforts to settle this with the city and kick the breed ban to the curb and welcome responsible ownership laws instead we have decided to go ahead and continue our process with a lawyer, as it is now apparent that the city council won't budge.....
We have been in contact with this lawyer through out the process this far. Stacy Coleman with the Animal Farm Foundation, and a lawyer who she also works with will be assisting our lawyer with materials, time, and help walk our lawyer through the legal process as best as they can to lower what our lawyer fees will be. Unfortunately the foundation working with us is tapped out with other legal disputes over breed bans similar to ours. So they are not able to help financially, but are willing to donate their time.
We were worried about how we were going to pay our fees and had decided previously to try and figure it out amongst ourselves.
With the current development in our story we have had a lot of people ask if they can donate and as much as we hate to have to have it come to this we are now taking donations to help with fees.
All donations are appreciated more then you will ever know! Any extra money after will be donated to Cedar Valley Pitbull Rescue!
If you can't donate we ask you to please share our post, our story, and advocate for us in any way possible.
We never wanted it to come to this, but now we have no choice. These are our families.
