Brady’s Road to Recovery

Donation protected

The last couple years have been difficult for everyone due to the worldwide pandemic. For a dear friend of mine and many others, it’s about to become much harder. Brady Levola just turned 20 years old. He never fails to put a smile on my face or anyone’s face for that matter, and he is definitely one of a kind. Brady you are unique, kindhearted and so loving towards the people who surround you. You are passionate, driven and strong for all the battles you have overcome with society’s norms, especially in a small town like Sudbury. Now Sudbury, it’s time to let us surround Brady and his family with love and support while he begins his journey on the road to recovery. On Monday June 21st 2021, Brady was experiencing chest pains along with difficulty breathing. His father Trevor, brought him to the local clinic where they immediately sent him to the Hospital for an X-ray. It was later that day they discovered a tumour pressing down on both his heart and his lungs making it difficult for him to breath. After 9 biopsies it was said to be a very rare form of germ cell testicular cancer which formed in his chest cavity. This journey won’t be easy, but I have no doubt that you my friend are going to kick cancers ass. Now for those of you who know Brady, know that one of the hardest things he will face is not being able to be doing the things Brady enjoys most of all. It’s definitely never a dull moment with Brady around as he loves being out in public, meeting new people, going to the beach to work on his tan, and never misses a beat when friends are gathering. Now I’m sure you miss the sun but it must miss you more. Have you notice it hasn’t been around lately? It’s waiting for you to come back, we all are. These difficult times will not only be time consuming and exhausting both mentally and physically for just him but for his family as well. Brady’s (mother) Anita, (father) Trevor & (sister) Jorja have needed to take time off work, and will continue to be by his side side day and night. There will be many trips to Toronto for more test, and this family needs our help. Brady I know one of your biggest fears while beginning this road to recovery is losing your hair, but I know for a fact you will make it work and you will rock it just like all the other funky things you’ve pulled off. Not only is this journey going to be hard on you but your family as well, which is why I’m writing this. I’d like to ask the family & friends of the Levola family and the community of Sudbury to help reduce some of the financial burden this family will face by starting this go found me page. As someone who is very close to Brady and his family I know that any donations would be very much appreciated during this difficult time. My family and I ask that you please take the time to listen to Brady’s story and share it as widely as possible as Brady would like to inspire other young adults who are also fighting this vicious disease. Brady is a huge influencer to many in the LGBTQ+ community and now to many more. To the Levola family, we are all here for you. Your friends, family, community and we love you.
