Desperately Need A New Furnace in Minnesota
Donation protected
It's Christmas Eve and my kid sister (I use this with her permission) is huddled under multiple blankets with her dog trying to stay warm - it is currently 8 below zero and it's not even 4:00 PM in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Her furnace went out a month ago and although she works full-time (paycheck-to-paycheck like so many of us) she is unable to come up with the $5,500 cost of a new furnace and is unable to get a loan. She's too embarrassed to ask for help. Through the kindness of family, she has been able to raise about $2,800, but of course, that isn't enough. Those of you who know me know that I'm not going to b.s. you. I've posted the actual quote from the furnace company.
UPDATE: Through the kindness and generosity of family and friends, we raised enough for the furnace - thank God and thank you all - but now she needs to have someone come out because all her pipes are frozen - the furnace is ordered and will be installed this week.
