FUR NIKOLA

My name is Tamara and I'm starting this campaign to help my brother Nikola to raise money for the medical treatment that is only hope for improving his health and well-being.

I hope that I will reach this goal with the support of all good people from this platform and that we all together will be part of the team that is playing for Nikola's battle of life.

Nikola is 30 years old and he has had multiple sclerosis since his 14. As he lives in Serbia he does not have access to medicaments and treatments that could help him to improve his state of health. His only hope is an expensive medical treatment abroad and as health insurance doesn't cover expenses, he needs to raise the money with the help of the community.

Nikola got first problems in 2005 when he lost sight on his left eye and in following year he started losing sight on his right eye. He was treated in the Children's Hospital for Neurology in Belgrade until full recovery. After that, he has continued with his life normally, but in 2011 he got new health issues - problems with feet, loss of balance, and problems with walking. Then, he got diagnosed - Dg. Sclerosis Multiplex G35. Treatment that he got didn't help him, so his disease became progressive, and from 2018 he has to use a wheelchair.

Now his only hope is stem cells treatment on the clinic abroad, but as expenses are too big for Nikola and our family, we need to raise money for stem cells transplantation and travel expenses. Our goal is big, but we believe that with your help and support we will achieve it. Every help is important and every donation is one big step to Nikola's victory of life.

Very important is the fact when we help Nikola to improve his health, he is going to help other people with health issues because my brother is a great activist and fighter for the rights of people with disabilities. He is an active member of a local nonprofit MS Platform Smederevo and author of the YouTube channel MS Borac Saborac on which, through his videos, he educates the public about multiple sclerosis, advocates for the rights of ones that live with it, and motivate everyone that needs it to fight against the disease.

You could not imagine how grateful we are for every donation because the future of my brother depends on it.
