Funky Monkees Annual 12 Hour Danceathon

Funky Monkees is a small Dance School located in Southport. Each year we hold a 12-hour danceathon to raise money for various charitable organisations and also equipment and costumes for our Dance School. We are delighted to announce we will be holding our Danceathon on Saturday the 29th March, to raise money for the Churchtown Memorial playground, Elsie Dot’s Charity and The Funky Monkees.

This year we have chosen to raise money to the Churchtown Memorial Playground and Elsie’s story because as a dance school it felt right to support a cause that could have happened to any of us and we stand United with all families affected in last years unspeakable acts.

During the 12 hour Danceathon, we will consistently dancing for 12 hours straight. All Funky Monkees staff, volunteers, and dance groups will be taking part on the day, we even have children as young as 4 joining in as much as possible. We will be learning 12 separate routines, exploring different dance styles that we don’t usually get to learn in our normal sessions.
