It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Malcolm Edward Torrance, our beloved son. At just 20 years old, Malcolm passed away unexpectedly, far too soon, leaving a void in the hearts of all who knew him. His intelligence, kindness, devotion to his family and humble dedication to God and his community will forever be remembered.

Malcolm had a bright future ahead. He was a brilliant student at the University of Calgary, where he was involved in leadership, including serving as the President of the University of Calgary Campus Conservative Association (UCCCA). He also served as a Parliamentary Assistant in the House of Commons of Canada during his summers while on break from University. He was not only driven and passionate for making a difference in all he pursued, but he was also a loving, thoughtful, and a polite young man. His generosity, intelligence, and kindness touched the hearts of everyone who knew him. He was the kind of person who made others feel valued and heard, and he always went out of his way to help those around him. Whether through his political work with the Conservative Party of Canada, his role as a Parliamentary Assistant, or his efforts to engage youth in important issues, Malcolm lived with a sense of purpose and commitment that will never be forgotten.

His sudden passing has left us all devastated, and as we try to navigate this unimaginable grief, we are also facing the burden of funeral expenses. In this incredibly difficult time, we are hoping to raise money to cover these costs and to help with the financial strains that accompany such a loss. Any contribution, no matter how small, would be deeply appreciated.

In honor of Malcolm’s unwavering dedication to the Conservative Party of Canada, any excess funds raised will be donated to the party that he worked so hard to serve.
