Funds to support aid work in the Ukraine Crisis
Donation protected
Second campaign, original campaign below.
On the 6th of May Danny will be returning back to Poland on his own and meeting up with other volunteers heading back into Ukraine. The last trip was very successful in the fact we achieved so much more than we had even penned down onto paper in planning and raised £24,500 which helped provide aid and fincial support to those who had lost so much. Unfortunately the field hospital we supported in Kiev has been lost to bombings and their ambulances have an array of mechanical issues which I hope to support repair of. The next journey for me will be largely medical and will hopefully joining several groups to support bringing those who need medical care in to Europe. If you can sponsor anything, even the tiniest amount will go a long way, please do! Our last £5,000 supply run will be heading out in the very near future. Thank you
On Friday March 18th Danny Lambert (NHS Paramedic), Steve Bray (Founder of SP Services - Medical Distribution Expert) and Paul Dadge (Crisis Manager and Campaigner) will be leaving Staffordshire and Shropshire and heading to the Polish border with Ukraine.
We’ll be taking with us fire kit and rescue equipment donated by Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service and defibrillators donated by a Shropshire fire charity called Operation Sabre. We’ll also be transporting a large amount of additional medical supplies directly into Ukraine. Once we have arrived, we’ll be establishing an information channel back to the UK for other medical and emergency professionals looking to make the trip. Importantly we’ll be updating on all our progress via our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/MHA4U
A little from Danny who has organised the trip …..
My name is Danny Lambert, a NHS Paramedic of five years with a just shy of ten years working within the NHS in a care role. I have always been passionate about patient care regardless of setting, and a personal ambition to support areas in crisis. The current situation in Ukraine is truly heart-breaking, and unfortunately many families have been displaced and scattered across the borders of Ukraine. If Russia continue in their advancements into Ukraine, many more people will be killed, injured, or displaced and eventually this will overwhelm the charities and government agencies working hard around the clock to preserve life and care for those who are now vulnerable. With a project that started as a solo mission, good networking has seen the development of a team of like-minded individuals with links to other groups already on the ground.
We are not representing a charity; we are just individuals wishing to provide aid and logistics. This will entail working alongside charities, other volunteers, and government healthcare providers to provide aid to Ukrainian refugees that have fled their homes for safety. This objective does however contain significant responsibility and potential risk, and I ask you for support. Some of you reading will be close friends, family, and colleagues, and I appreciate some will question why we want to do this.
Any money raised will be used on supplying: Medical and firefighting equipment. Health, dental and sanitation items for refugees, specifically women and children. Logistics and transport of donations. Medical aid and welfare. The team is exceptionally thankful for the donations raised in phase one, and we have been overwhelmed with the support and progress made in just one week. We’ll continue to provide updates on the GoFundMe page and also Facebook so you know how your donations are being put to good use.
Thank you for your support.
