Woof
Laika here.
I’m sure most of you know me as the cutest dog that loves to show off her tricks, have met me at the most random places in the valley or perhaps just from the stickers I like to put everywhere.
I’m pawing these words because I’m in need of your help. I just want to be a free dog! And pretty much everywhere I go, I am free: in town, the woods, at work, on walks, playing with my friends - you name it. Leave me in front of the store, I’ll wait. No need to tie me up. But there’s one place I’m not allowed to be free - and that’s at home….
Im one of the few year-round residents in the strata 799 village on Mount Washington and dogs are tolerated here, but not really welcome and so the time has come that I got caught and convicted of being a ‘bad dawg’.
“It was reported that on March 5th , Lika, the tenant’s dog, was sitting on the loading zone after energetically
running in circles without a leash.”
Oh my dog, I’m such a threat!
I mean not that I was misbehaving, jumping up on a stranger or let alone bite someone. NO! I was energetically running in circles and then patiently waiting for my friend after I heard his truck in parking lot. Scandalous!
(*Picture for evidence attached)
$200 fine. Wauw. Is that even enough? Probably not, but it’s still way too steep, cause I actually got zero money.
So, if you think it would be honorable to look the other way when there are respectable dawgs off leash consider donating to the ‘#FreeLaika fund’.
Stay cool
Laika
Ps: don’t forget to hit me up for stickers when you see me <3
