The Social Justice Center is urgently requesting support for a Capital Region family whose family member was detained by ICE on January 13, 2026 in Albany, NY. The Capital Region Sanctuary Coalition (CRSC) has confirmed a young father named Ian was kidnapped by four ICE agents while two additional ICE agents dragged him, and his son & wife were forced to watch nearby. Ian is the main financial support of his family and has two small children. This family is in need of legal aid funds and help with living expenses while they work to get Ian back.
