I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to share that my dear mother is seriously ill due to very high blood sugar. She is currently confined in a hospital in the Philippines. Sadly, the hospital was overwhelmed and had no beds available, so we had to purchase a bed ourselves just so she could be admitted and receive proper care.

In addition to her unstable blood sugar levels, she is also suffering from ulcer wounds on her legs, which are a complication caused by her condition. These wounds require daily medications, cleaning, treatment, and close monitoring to prevent infection and further complications. Because of this, her care is not a one-time expense - the hospital bills and medication costs increase every single day.

Tom and I are doing our best and are covering as much as we can, but the ongoing cost of her daily medications, wound care, and hospital treatment has become overwhelming for us.
