I’ve been amazed no one seems to have done this in the last week. I’ve seen many people calling for it. So as someone who’s been following this season with a good friend Climbing with Hillary Dawa Sherpa, but moreover been struck by how this man was abandoned by his employers here’s a fundraiser for Hillary Dawa Sherpa and his family. Hopefully the man will never have to put his life in danger again. Thank you for all donations, and more than anything as I’m somewhat a nobody online please share amongst like minded people touched by his story.

Co-ordination of the transfer of funds will be through Nuru Sherpa and Mendo Lhamu Sherpa the daughter of Hillary Dawa Sherpa. As well as collaboration with my friend Chris Thrall Hillary Dawa Sherpas climbing partner that day.

EDIT; it’s being pointed out to Nuru Sherpa that this fundraiser should be higher. And that my involvement (rather than family members) is causing the problem. This I totally understand, at this point it is simply a technical issue preventing Nuru and Mendo joining this fundraiser. I’m trying my best to resolve this as I type. And ultimately I would hope they can take over entirely as soon as is possible. The last thing I want to do is be responsible for discouraging people to donate to this cause!
