Fundraising walk for additional MT Push Wheelchair
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jamie, I work with people living with a
disability at Bedford Day Options in Panorama.
For almost a year now we have run the “Accessible Outdoors Program” with the wonderful support of National Parks & Wildlife (DEW), Forestry SA and SA Water.
As part of the program clients at Day Options have been lucky enough to have access to and use the MT Push Wheelchair kept at Belair National Park free of charge through the UniSA "Open the Doors to Nature Project" and the availability of this fantastic equipment has opened so many new areas to them.
We would like to help expand the access to outdoor spaces to people in the wider disability community by raising these funds (target of $10,000) and hopefully donating another MT Push wheelchair to the "Open the Doors to Nature Project".
We are organising this walk to raise awareness and give back to the project that our clients have appreciated having access to. We will be travelling from Belair National Park through Mylor on to Kuitpo Forest and then finishing at Myponga Reservoir using sections of the Heysen trail where possible. Bedford Day Options clients will be accompanying myself and representatives from the "Open the Doors to Nature Project", SA Water, Forestry SA and National Parks for sections of the walk. Completing total distance of approximately 80km.
Any amount donated is most appreciated and any additional funds will be donated to help with disability access facilities within National parks & Wildlife, Forestry SA and SA Water land.
