At thirty weeks pregnant, Alexis and Cody received news that changed their world. Their unborn son, Ansel Solace was diagnosed with an exceptionally rare and complex combination of congenital heart defects. Confirmed by echo on his birth day October 13th, 2025 - his heart cannot be completely “fixed,” but through a series of major surgeries over the next few years, his medical team will work to reroute blood flow so his heart can function as efficiently as possible.

Each of these surgeries will be life-saving — but they also bring uncertainty, long hospital stays, and many challenges ahead for Ansel and his family.

After his birth, Ansel spent his first days in the NICU, where he amazed everyone by exceeding expectations. On October 22nd, 2025, he graduated from the NICU and came home to his family — a moment that felt nothing short of miraculous. For now, Ansel is being carefully monitored by his team until the time comes for his first heart surgery.

Alexis and Cody are deeply grateful for the prayers, love, and support surrounding them through this season.
