Hattie's 1km swim to keep Ropley School Pool open!

Ropley School where Hattie and her sister Georgie attend are lucky enough to have school pool where children of all age groups are able to learn to swim through the summer term. This is a fantastic facility however it is run purely through fundraising efforts and membership fees for the after school swim club. To re-open this year £12,200 needs to be raised to replace the boiler and filtration system. There is no local authority funding for this so it is coming down to fundraising efforts by the children and PTA. Hattie really wants to help keep the pool running so has decided to do a sponsored swim. On 23rd March he will attempt a 1km! (40 lengths) swim to raise funds for the school pool. This would be an achievement for many people but for a 8 year old it is an ambitious goal. If you can spare any amount, no matter how small, it would be a great help and motivate him to achieve this challenging target. Thank you
