Sadaqah Jariyah In Memory of Syed Mashuk Miah
السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته
إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
Surely we belong to Allah (God) and to Him shall we return
My name is Syed Abidur Rahman and I am raising money to build a mosque in the Bangladesh Rohingya camps as sadaqah jariyah for my late father Syed Mashuk Miah.
My father sadly passed away in August 2020 after contracting COVID-19. He was such a kind, generous and caring individual. He never walked anywhere without a smile illuminating his face. He possessed many of the beautiful qualities of our beloved prophet Muhammad (SAW) as he would strive to implement the sunnah of our prophet Muhammad (SAW) into his every day life. Every chance he would get, he would always try helping anyone to the best of his abilities. Not only was he cherished by our family, but by the whole community he served. Sadly, he has returned to our lord Allah (SWT), leaving many of us with a broken heart. May Allah (SWT) shower his mercy and blessings upon my fathers soul and grant him the highest ranks of Jannat’ul Firdaus, in’sha’Allah.
I have the intention and hope to build a masjid for the Bangladesh Rohingya camps via OneNation as sadaqah jariyah for my late father. The masjid will accommodate 150-200 people in’sha’Allah. Additionally, I am also choosing Human Appeal as my charity. My father helped so many members of the community and I know so many people would want to help him generate good deeds in his grave.
“When a man dies, all his good deeds come to an end except three: Ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), beneficial knowledge and a righteous child who prays for him."
Please keep my beloved father in your duas and kindly recite Surah Al-Fatiha. May Allah (SWT) accept and reward us all for our efforts, Jazak’Allahu Khayrun.
