Fundraising for the Portland IWW

Donation protected
The Portland Industrial Workers of the World is launching an ambitious fundraising campaign with a focus on supporting both our current and future shop floor organizing work, trainings, and ongoing operations. We are asking all of our supporters to donate today to help us reach our goal of $10,000 to keep the IWW a fighting force for the working class in the years to come.

The onset of the new Trump administration has heralded unprecedented attacks on a flourishing organized labor movement, threatening to set back the incredible strides made in recent years. These attacks highlight the need for action oriented tactics as the administration continues to degrade the legal channels once provided by the National Labor Relations Board.

Since its inception in 1905, the IWW has championed the current of radical, direct action-oriented organizing, which remains important now more than ever to keep the labor movement pushing forward in these uncertain times. From the first-of-their kind campaigns of the Burgerville Workers Union and Donut Workers Union, to our latest campaigns with the Fried Egg Workers Union and Peet’s Workers Union, the Portland IWW’s primary goal remains fully supporting all of our shop floor organizing campaigns so they can achieve not just a fair day’s pay, but true industrial democracy and the respect they deserve.

We are asking for donations from those to whom industrial democracy sounds a worthy aspiration so that we may continue to host trainings, expand our operations, and above all support our shops.

Thank you fellow workers for your ongoing support.
