Hello friends and family,
Some of you know that I am going on a retreat to Vietnam in March. The retreat is offered by the Loving Work Foundation, a small non-profit organization based in Charleston, SC.
All retreat participants are asked to raise $400 US for projects undertaken with local NGOs (non-governmental organizations) to help raise awareness of this wonderful work to bring education and self-sufficiency to families and children in underserved communities in Vietnam. Any amount helps, so please consider making a donation.

Loving Work Foundation is a small nonprofit organization based in Charleston, SC, that provides humanitarian aid to improve the lives of disadvantaged Vietnamese children and families, and organizes mindfulness retreats within the country, so that friends around the world can practice together, build a global community, and engage in service. The Loving Work Foundation was inspired by Vietnamese Zen Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh (1926-2022), called the Father of Mindfulness, and the inspiration for Engaged Buddhism. He is my spiritual teacher as well. Martin Luther King nominated him for the Nobel Peace Prize for his peace activism during the Vietnam War.
Thank you all for taking the time to read this.
