* Shannon to Liffey Charity Run 2021 *

Four of us will run 145km along the full length of the Royal Canal from Cloondara near the Roscommon/Longford border, all the way back to the River Liffey in Dublin City to raise funds for SMA Ireland (Spinal Muscular Atrophy)
SMA type 1 is the number one killer of infants under the age of 2.
SMA Ireland is a voluntary organisation, dedicated to raising awareness of Spinal Muscular Atrophy in Ireland and campaigning for access to treatment for all. Time is a critical factor when treating SMA, so one of their top priorities is the introduction of SMA screening to newborn babies in Ireland.
