Fundraising for Siyafunda Wildlife & Conservation

I recently volunteered with Siyafunda Wildlife & Conservation located at the Great Makalali Nature Reserve in Hoedspruit, South Africa. I had an amazing time there and really appreciate the nature, wildlife and hard working staff, most of who left their home behind to join the conservation force in South Africa.

Due to Covid and traveling restrictions, the organization had very little revenue coming in for almost a year. As the payments from volunteers and lodge guests cover staff salary, food, lodging, gas etc., the organization's finance has been heavily impacted. There's so much I can tell you about what they can do with the financial help from us. 1 dollar is 14 South African rands, $5 may get us a Starbucks coffee here but over there, that may mean an ID collar for an animal to track and protect. To continue advocating for them and raising awareness, I gave a presentation at work (recorded) about the program and made a video tribute to them, please see below.
