I’m running the Dublin City Marathon on Sunday 26th October to raise funds for WCI - North Leitrim Women’s Centre in Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim, in memory of my mother Maeve Rooney who benefited so much from this wonderful centre.

The North Leitrim Women’s Resource Centre aims to support the needs of women of all ages, cultures and religions through information, education, healthcare screening and social networking. It is an amazing service to the local community…but it requires ongoing financial support to keep the doors open to provide these vital services. It is becoming more difficult each year to acquire sufficient funding.
