Fundraising for my sister during chemo ❤️️

Hi everyone,
Thank you for viewing this page.

ABOUT MY SISTER & HER DIAGNOSIS
On Friday 26th of July, my younger sister (10) Ava, was taken into hospital with severe pain in her legs and ankles. Upon further testing, she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. This has been a massive shock for my family, and we are still processing what is going on.
Overnight, our lives, as well as Ava’s have changed. Ava has always been a very active child, competing in swimming, martial arts, gymnastics, 5k running, and recently beginning kayaking. Not to mention her multiple after school clubs (athletics, cooking and film club), and her love for greyhound racing.
This diagnosis means she cannot do any of the above activities. She cannot return back to school due to the chemo making her more susceptible to infection. She currently is struggling with walking due to the vast pain in her bones and joints (mainly in her legs). And she has been in hospital over a week now, bedridden and seeing nobody except her parents and the incredible team of doctors/nurses.
WHY MAKE A GOFUNDME & WHAT WILL THE MONEY BE USED FOR?
Obviously being in the UK, treatment is free. I thought I’d make a go fund me page for Ava, as for the next year or so she will be going though countless rounds of chemo, weekly hospital trips, and due to the huge overnight change to her life.
I am asking for donations to go towards anything Ava wants and needs as well as to support our family financially. My parents will be unable to return to work due to the care my sister requires, and trips to the hospital for chemo will cost alot in fuel, if this cost can be covered via donations, it would help massively and be a huge weight off their shoulders.
Any money left over from this page will be donated to the children’s hospital where Ava is being treated.
Every little helps Even if you cannot donate, please share this page
