Hi, my name is Margo, and I’m fundraising for my grandmother, Corazon Ferriols, who is currently admitted in the ICU.

On April 18th, our vibrant, loving, and generous grandma suddenly suffered a stroke while taking a nap beside my grandpa. She was rushed to the hospital, intubated, and admitted to the ICU. After a week of battling through and showing signs of recovery, she was discharged home. The stroke left her partially paralyzed and unable to fully speak, but even in that condition, her spirit shone through. She found a way to smile and pose for a photo with my grandpa (as seen above). A small but powerful reminder of her resilience.

Unfortunately, just four days after being discharged, my grandma developed a fever and severe chest pain. She is now back in the ICU with a diagnosis of pericarditis.

My grandma has always been the light of our family. She likes to sing karaoke, dance salsa, and spread joy and kindness wherever she goes. She has the biggest heart and never hesitates to help others, even at her own expense.

Now, we’re hoping to give back to her.
