Fundraising for Kenya 2025

Hi, my name is Isla. I am 15 years old and I am raising money for a really exiting opportunity to volunteer in Kenya with My African Adventures organised by Wickersley School and Sports College.

Kenya is a country of real contrasts, with breathtaking scenery, incredible wildlife, and a popular tourism industry on one hand, but extreme poverty on the other.

I will be contributing to change in a developing community by volunteering as a teaching assistant to help deliver sports lessons and help support small groups of students with their work in classrooms that are often overcrowded and under-privileged.

The schools have a lack of resources, most of them cannot afford to provide their students with text books, stationery and sometimes even desks so they rely on volunteers to take resources to them. They are also in desperate need of what we think are basic necessities .e.g tooth brushes, tooth paste etc

Thank you for taking time to read about my trip. I would really appreciate any donations to help me get there. I am hoping to raise £3000 to help pay for the trip and the vaccinations I will need. I also hope to be able to take over some basic necessities for the children that I will teach.
