We are saddened by the recent prognosis of our dear friend Liz’s battle against cancer. As many of you know, Liz has been bravely battling multiple myeloma for nearly 10 years, a relentless and extremely life-threatening cancer. During this time, Liz has remained strong and resilient despite the invasive treatments and pain she’s endured over the years, but her recent diagnosis is daunting.

Liz is a cherished friend who can always brighten up a room, but above all, she’s a wonderful, loving single mom. And as such, she’s focused on preparing for her daughter Emily’s future without her. Emily, one of the kindest, most empathetic, outgoing 12-year-olds you’ll meet, is facing the unimaginable reality of losing her mother, and only family, at such a tender age. Emily has encountered not only the challenges of supporting her mom in the fight against cancer but also the daily hardships of living with cerebral palsy. Emily needs our collective support to ensure her future remains as bright as her spirit.
