Fundraising for Charlie Hamill

My brother has been through so much this year, and sadly In October he was diagnosed with liver cancer that is aggressive and has unfortunately spread to his spine. There is no longer any treatment available and he has been given 6 months to live.

This has devastated him and our family. My brother is a proud man, would do anything to help anyone, and has always been a hard working guy that never asks for anything.

Due to his cancer progressing, he has lost the ability to walk and requires the use of a wheelchair and this has taken away much of his independence.

As a family we are trying to make precious memories together, Charles loves getting out and about to get fresh air. As he can’t get into a car again most outings will require him relying on black hack taxi’s and us walking with his wheelchair. This is often difficult due to the conditions of the pavements and roads, and also with people parking on pavements making the route difficult.

We would love to raise funds for my brother to be able to purchase an electric wheelchair to give him some independence back to enjoy these few months.

I know this is a difficult time to ask for support with Christmas being around the corner, however time is precious and we honestly really appreciate any contributions that people can kindly spare.

Wow. As a family we are so touched, and overwhelmed by everyone’s kindness towards our brother. We are going to enquire about the wheelchair today.
