Fundraising for Bryan Zhao's Eagle Scout Project

Hey! My name is Bryan Zhao, I am currently a 15-year-old Life Scout at Scout Troop 446 in Pearland Texas.

After many ranks, campouts, and merit badges, every Scout needs to complete a community service project for their community to achieve the highest rank of Eagle. For my project, one place I immediately thought about helping was Silverlake Elementary School. Not only have I personally attended elementary school right down the road from Silverlake Elementary and lived in this community all my life, but our Troop also hosts its weekly meetings in this very school. We have always been so thankful that they let us use this amazing, convenient location, but have not found a direct way to express our gratitude yet. So, I proposed I would do my Eagle Scout Project for Silverlake Elementary School.

The actual project consists of renovating the front garden area of the school's main entrance. We plan on installing a border of decorative and protective stones around the perimeter of the garden and then laying a fresh layer of mulch. While we are there, we will also fertilize the plants and do some basic garden care.

Unfortunately, all of this comes with a decently large price tag, so that is why I am fundraising. Any proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to pay for the mulch, retaining stones, transport of such materials, and other supplies needed. If there are leftover funds, they will all go to Silverlake Elementary School.
