FUNDING FOR ASTRO TURF PITCH

Holy Family NS is undertaking a major fundraising drive to provide a full-size, all-weather astro-turf playing field on the grounds of the school.

The full-size astro turf pitch will provide the children of Holy Family NS with a clean, non-slip and safe area for a variety of sports all year round. While we are lucky to have a substantial grass area, our children are in school during the wettest nine months of the year. Therefore, it is very rare that the surface is suitable for sport and playtime and so it remains idle for the most part of the year. This extra space which will be accessible all year round will be an invaluable asset for the school and wider community. Staying active is so important for the mental and physical health of our children and this facility will help create this positive environment.

We are delighted to share that we have received some funding from the Sports Capital Grant but need your help to achieve our goal of a full-size astro-turf pitch. We have included Kerins O' Rahillys GAA Club as part of this application and we are delighted that all members of Kerins O' Rahillys ,from academy players right through to senior players, will benefit hugely from this facility.

We are appealing to present, past and future pupils and their families, local businesses and the community of Tralee and beyond who may be in a position to help us. All donations large or small will be very much welcome and most appreciated.
