Fundraising Appeal for Wayanad Landslides Relief

In Wayanad district of Kerala, India, devastating landslides triggered by heavy rain have resulted in the tragic loss of over 270 lives, with many hundreds more feared trapped. The disaster has led to the hospitalization of thousands of people. The rescue efforts, hindered by adverse weather conditions and the threat of more rain, are being carried out by multiple agencies, including the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the Armed Forces.

Our Response

Tatvamasi always strives to do our part when it comes to any cause for our people back home. Like how we supported and helped during the 2018 floods, we must stand up once more to assist those affected by this disaster. Tatvamasi, in association with Sewa Canada International, which has been a registered charity in Canada for over 30 years , with volunteers on the ground will participate in this relief effort, focusing on:

Providing Food and Shelter: Ensuring those affected have access to essential food and secure shelter.

Medical Care: Offering medical care to the injured and facilitating access to healthcare facilities.

Distributing Essentials: Providing clothes, essential items, and shelter materials to survivors and the homeless.

Funding Funerals: Assisting with the funding of funeral services for the deceased.
