Fundraiser to Participate in Operation Wallacea

My name is Anushka Iyer (Nushi) and I am currently a second year Environmental Management and Protection major at Cal Poly SLO. I've been spending the past year exploring various programs and projects to get a better sense of what I want to do with my future. After participating in several research projects, I realized I wanted to explore the biological realm of both plants and animals.
Operation Wallaceae has set up a perfect program for me to not only delve into this field but more importantly experience the research aspect. Of course, like many opportunities that come our way, this program comes at a cost. It is important for me personally to support this initiative myself and would like to cover these expenses by saving money, applying for scholarships, and starting fundraisers (like this). I also have recently made a website where I will be selling art to raise money for this trip! It would be great if you could check it out whether to buy or simply browse (a sample piece has been posted below too.)

I hope to update it with pictures, art, and even descriptions of my travels when I return from the trip :)
Additionally, I want to add that I have also applied for an internship down in Peru to work with native species in the Amazon rainforest. Because this particular opportunity lasts a month, I cannot do both the Operation Wallaceae trip and the Peru internship in the same summer. If I happen to get accepted into the internship I will likely use these donations to fund my experience there! Regardless of which one I decide to do, I will still be exploring the world and working as a research assistant this upcoming summer!
