Our friend and coach, Robert “Knobby” Knee, was recently involved in a serious motorbike accident on Friday, 31 October 2025. He sustained significant injuries, including multiple spinal fusions and facial fractures, and has since undergone major surgery. Knobby is now receiving care at a specialist spinal rehabilitation clinic in Melbourne.
This has been an incredibly challenging time for Knobby and his family, both emotionally and financially. As he begins the long road to recovery, we want to make sure they feel supported by the community that cares so deeply about him.
To help ease the burden, we are inviting all Tasmanian gyms and fitness communities to join us for a special fundraiser workout fittingly named “Knobby.”
This is a state-wide open invitation for any gym to take part on Saturday, 6 December either by running the workout in their own facility or by joining another participating venue. Everyone
is welcome to get involved in any way they can.
Alongside the event, this GoFundMe has been created to support Knobby’s family with ongoing expenses throughout his recovery. Donations are completely optional. Please only give if you’re able to, and at whatever amount feels comfortable.
Let’s come together as a state, move with purpose, and show Knobby and his family that they’re not facing this journey alone. Your support, in any form, means the world.
