Fundraiser for Virgil and Tammy Marcum

Hi, my name is Kimberly. My sister, Amanda, and I are starting this gofundme for my mom and dad, Tammy and Virgil Marcum. Our dad was diagnosed with stage 4 cirrhosis of the liver (nonalcoholic) at the beginning of this year. Since then, He has been in and out of hospitals. In June, Dad was hospitalized in Louisville for almost 4 weeks. Last week, he needed to be hospitalized again. He was recently approved to be on the liver transplant list, but he isn’t doing well. They are in Louisville and we have no idea how long they will be there.

Our mom is his caregiver, and she works more than one job to make ends meet. Her main job is for Dawson Springs schools in the cafeteria and she hasn't had to work there for the summer. However, summer is ending and she isn't going to be able to work while he is in the hospital.

Our mom is always there to help anyone in need. She has such a big heart and a good soul. She is and has been like a second mom to many people; always there to lend an ear or hand. She is the most caring and selfless person I know. Our dad is her compliment, he never fails to make others laugh, even when they want to cry. He is genuine and helpful, with such a good heart. They are both very loving and fun and funny. They are both thoughtful and selfless, even when they have nothing left to give.
