Fundraiser for the Uyghur Masjid

Why (for me)

The Uyghur Masjid is bringing the Uyghurs and other Muslims in Fairfax together. It's also providing the Islamic education most Uyghurs never had (ex. how to read the Quran, Tafseer, Islamic Studies). These things are important to me and I want to keep them.

(The Situation)

Currently, the Uyghur Masjid is paying $8,000 in rent every month, which is expensive and likely unsustainable. So we want to buy the place, but the place is expensive: it costs $2 million. We've already raised 600k, but we still have $1.4 million left. Good progress, but we still have a long way to go. Can we raise $2 million? Don't ask me why, but I believe we can. And that although it will be challenging, it's worth the effort.

(Why to donate)

2. You help the Masjid buy the building. This allows it to stay open without having to fundraise for rent. And not have to worry about closing because we can't afford rent.
