Fundraiser for Search & Rescue Equipment for Lost Dogs
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Hannah and I am raising funds for Drone SAR For Lost Dogs UK.
What would you do if your dog went missing? Would you know who to contact if you needed help to find your dog should it go missing?
At the beginning of December Polly, a dog from Bagworth got spooked after suddenly pulling on her lead causing her lead to slip out of her owners hand. She ran away and her owners were distraught. They posted on local social media sites, I saw the post. Along with volunteers from Harvey’s Army we came together to support and advise the owners on what to do to help find their missing dog. A drone was used to search the area and a trap was set up to help capture Polly. Local’s were asked to report sightings and within 36 hours we had Polly caught safely in the trap and returned to her extremely worried owners. Non of this would have been possible without the volunteers and the equipment we use, all of which can only be purchased through donations. The drone that we currently have doesn’t have thermal capabilities which would have really helped when Polly was hiding in thick dense bushes and wooded areas.
Help Us Find Missing Dogs with Thermal Drone Technology!
At Drone SAR For Lost Dogs UK our dedicated volunteers tirelessly search for lost dogs, bringing hope and relief to worried pet owners. To enhance our search efforts and reunite more pets with their families, we need your help to raise funds for a thermal drone for North West Leicestershire local areas.
Our innovative approach not only saves time but also increases the chances of bringing these furry friends home safely.
We now have over 3,500 volunteer drone pilots and over 3,000 volunteer ground searchers across the UK and Ireland.
Over the last six years we have helped reunite over 4,500 missing dogs, been honoured with many awards and also featured on BBC News, ITV News and This Morning.
Why We Need Your Support:
* Thermal Drone Purchase: To enhance our search and rescue operations with advanced equipment.
* Training & Maintenance: Ensuring our team is equipped with the skills and resources to use the drone effectively.
* Expanding Our Reach: Enabling us to cover more ground and assist more families in need.
Your generous donation can help us:
* Acquire a state-of-the-art thermal drone that can detect body heat even in challenging conditions.
* Train our dedicated volunteers to operate the drone and conduct thorough searches.
* Increase our response time and success rate in finding missing dogs.
With your support, we can provide hope and comfort to pet owners during their time of need. Every penny counts and brings us one step closer to reuniting families with their missing dogs.
