Update 3/10:
They finally found a medicine that will stable my blood pressures. So I am able to get released sometime today. Daniel is also doing good, his oxygen levels are getting better and his vitals are improving.
Update 3/9:
Baby boy has opened his eyes a little bit!

Update 3/7:
On Thursday March 6th at 5:48pm Our little boy ✨Daniel Lee Lusk ✨ made his appearance into the world by an emergency C-section due to me still having high blood pressures. Weighing at just 1lb and 5 oz. He was born at 27 weeks, he is very much a feisty little boy, screaming at the nurses. We are so very much in love with our little guy. I’m recovering greatly and my nurses are taking very well care of me.
There are some rules regarding with him being so little and premature. I am allowed visitors in my room (ask before coming up here). However Daniel is not because of how small and premature he is only Travis and I can visit him in the NICU. They did tell us that immediate family or whoever mine and Travis’s choice (please remember he’s our child) can see him on camera through an app to see daily updates or just to see how he’s doing. I will privately message you if you would like to have that option. Just please remember we are doing this for our safety and especially Daniel’s safety. Thank you for all prayers along the way.
We are excited to start a new journey with our little man!

Update 3/7:
We had I scare last night with another extreme blood pressure, they doubled her dose on her blood pressure meds it stabled back out they monitored her threw the night everything seemed fine. We checked it again at 9am and her blood pressure spiked again. They told us as of right now they're goin to max her blood pressure meds if that doesn't work they might put her on a drip . But if we can't get her blood pressure under control we will be having the baby sooner than we expected. Please keep us in our prayers!
FYI: pre-eclampsia (probably spelled wrong) produces a hormone from the placenta that can cause your blood pressure to spike and effects everyone differently.
This week my cousin went to her 27 week appointment and ended up being admitted into St Lukes in KC with pre-eclampsia. They are keeping her on bed rest until 34 weeks or longer. She will be out of work until well after baby is born. This is going to put a financial burden on them. Baby boy is doing great which we are thankful for. During this time her mom and fiance are staying in KC and traveling back and forth for work. If you feel led to give or even just sending your thoughts and prayers, we would all greatly appreciate it. It means a lot to them.
Update 3/6:
Update: My blood pressures looking good and staying in 140 range it’s where they want it. Got an ultrasound to see how little mans doing! He’s still growing and 100% healthy!
How it started:
Some of you may already know, I passed my glucose test yesterday! However at my 27 week appointment my blood pressure was very high so I was admitted to Nevada to monitor my blood pressure, turns out I was currently diagnosed with preeclampsia, they did all the could down there, so last night I was admitted into St Luke’s Hospital to see more specialist and get it under control. After 12 hours of dealing with high blood pressure in the ICU, it finally dropped and they sent me to the Labor and delivery, because I am still a high risk pregnancy. We had a little scare however little man is still in my belly doing healthy and growing. I have to be on bed rest for the rest of my pregnancy in the hospital until I am 34 weeks, so they can monitor me and little man then hopefully he will be here.
Please keep us in your prayers, we are doing good! I will keep eveyone updated if any changes happen. Also anyone is welcome to come see me just let me know and I’ll send the address.
