Rob Serratore, Stony Brook University Class of 1992, passed away on February 25, 2024. Rob, a Stony Brook Seawolves Hall of Famer and four-time All-American, led the Men's Lacrosse team as the starting goalie when the program transitioned from NCAA Division III to Division I under the leadership of Head Coach John Espey. Rob was one of the top goaltenders in the history of Stony Brook Men's Lacrosse, a loving and devoted family man, a generous and loyal friend, and one of the best human beings to ever walk the planet. Rob suffered a heart attack after a long illness that exhausted his family's financial resources.
On Saturday, April 27, 2024, Stony Brook University will honor Rob during the Men's Lacrosse game against Hofstra University (Faceoff at Noon). Stony Brook Men's Lacrosse Alumni are organizing a fundraiser to help fund college savings accounts for Rob's and Kristin's children, Gabriella; Giulianna; and Anthony. Please contribute to honor the memory of their father and to help the family after this terrible loss.
