My name is Ali. I'm a young Palestinian from Gaza, 18 years old. I'm the eldest son in my family and the main person responsible for my three younger siblings.

There are six of us now living in a torn tent after our home was completely destroyed. From a warm home to a tent that protects from nothing.

Our house was simple, but it was full of love and warmth— until it was wiped out completely under the bombardment.

We barely survived with our lives and moved into a tent unfit for living—no electricity, not enough water, no privacy.

Winter is harsh, summer is fire, and fear never leaves us.

I am the eldest brother...carrying more than my years. As the oldest, I bear responsibilities far beyond my age. I do everything I can to ease my father's burden, protect my siblings, and support my mother. I go out searching for water, for bread, for anything that might bring them a little comfort

—while my heart is heavy with pain and fear.

We were hardworking and loved learning...but the genocide stole our dreams. Despite poverty and blockade, I was always one of the diligent students. I loved to study and dreamed of continuing my education and becoming someone—
