Hi Everyone My Name is Alba Huex founder of Mundo Maya Spanish School & Guest Houses in San Jose Peten Guatemala.
I open Mundo Maya since July 2000, to provide work to women in my mayan Itza' community because are the less privileged; with the main purpose to build opportunities to offer then jobs while preserving the forest and the traditional techniques of living while protecting the nature and our Mayan Culture.
I always stand for my community and following Mundo Maya Mission "Giving Back and Giving a hand " to our people who needs it.
Nowadays my heart are with them; Mundo Maya Team such as Bilingual English and Spanish Guides, Spanish teachers, Birders Specialists, workshop educators and host families lost their only main source of income.
Their job most loved for them to "welcome any Tourist, bird lovers, Spanish Students and Guests from all over the world showing the most loved Tikal, their families, sharing their culture, warm smiles and happiness to have a visitor in our loved Peten Guatemala.
Yesterday; Thursday May 21 The Guatemala Newspapers quote that the international tourism will be back until summer 2021 according the Tourism Guatemala Commission.
Mundo Maya team will be the directly beneficiaries.
we will continuing funding our Mundo Maya Food Bank providing meals to
the families on needs in our community.
