Fundraiser for Mr. Cedrick Walker Roof Replacement

Hi, my name is Lauren Reece. I have created this fundraiser for Mr. Cedrick Walker & family. We reside in the Blue Hills Neighborhood of Kansas City, Missouri. As a friend and neighbor, I have watched Mr. Walker consistently go above and beyond for his community friends and neighbors, especially given his limited resources. After an off-the-job injury that cost him his 10+ year position just before Covid came into play, he pooled his limited savings to keep the family afloat. As stated in the video (please view it if you haven't already), his damaged and deteriorated roof is causing further damage to his home. Insurance coverage for his home can not be sought until a whole roof replacement has been completed. As a vast community, I know we can come together and truly resolve this family's dire situation. I KNOW we can make a difference in this family's livelihood. I will update you as to the progress as the fundraiser unfolds. Once funds are secured, a licensed roofing company will be contracted to complete the whole roof replacement. Quotes have been given, the extent of damage thus far has been accessed.

Once goal has been reached, the contracted roofing company will begin work and once roof is completed the bill furnished Mr. Walker will be paid in full with raised funds.
