Update: Since mom's accident she has made alot of progress. She is now eating a regular diet, involved in PT, OT, and speech therapy everyday. Currently she is at Madonna Rehab getting wonderful care. Although this great care is far away from home, friends, family. They are very impressed with how far she has come since her accident.

My momma Brandi was involved in a freak accident. On her way to Colorado she made a stop by a relatives house. She lost her balance and fell backwards off of the porch. When she fell she hit her head causing a fracture and it hit an artery causing a brain bleed. Not only did she suffer from a brain bleed but on the other side it hit causing swelling. The side with the swelling is the side of the brain that controls speech, memory, etc.

She's been intubated, sedated, had several EEGs, CAT scans, and an MRI.

She is taking small steps towards her recovery everyday.

Once she is ready she will be leaving South Dakota to go to a hospital that specializes in TBI's. This gofund me will help with bills from missing work/ travel expenses/ any medical bills that come up.
