For my Birthday this year, I am asking for donations for one of my best friends. About six years ago, Maria's husband Michael was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease), for which there is no cure. Maria works full time and insurance is only covering the bare minimum of care for Michael. She is struggling to pay for caregivers and medical expenses. I know I cannot help with the emotional pain and suffering they both endure every day, but if I can help ease their financial burden, it will bring some relief to this family, that I love so dearly.
