Our family is asking for help for Macey, who has been hospitalized for over a month with serious complications from autoimmune illness and lupus, which has been affecting her brain (auto-immune encephalitis) and lungs. She has been through countless tests, spinal taps, infusions, and medications, and her doctors are still working to stabilize her.

During this time, Macey has been unable to work, and her mom has had to take an extended leave from her job to stay by her side. The medical bills, travel costs, and lost income have made things very difficult, and when Macey finally comes home, she will need ongoing medical care, medications, and rehabilitation.

As many of you know, Macey is one of the kindest, strongest people you could ever meet—she lights up every room, even while facing something no one should ever have to go through.
