Hi Everyone. I recently met one of my daughter's friends. My daughter had told me that she lived with her younger siblings and that her dad was not around. I recently had the opportunity to talk with her and find out more about her and her story. Sadly, shortly after graduating HS, she lost her mom to Covid 5yrs ago. As you can imagine this was devasting to her and her younger siblings. Her mother took care of the household and all the finances. Her dad was in distress from the loss and they shortly lost their home. Soon after, her dad had a physical altercation at a gas station when he was protecting his daughters from a man that was approaching them and being inappropriate with them. He was arrested and due to him being on probation, he is currently serving a 10yr sentence, and has been incarcerated for 4yrs as of now. Which leads me to her. at 22yo, she has been the legal guardian of her 18yo sister & 12yo brother for the last 4yrs. She works fulltime helping autistic children. She is the sole bread winner for her & her 2 younger siblings. Her car recently broke down & shares a car with her younger sister & often times has to uber to work. They will be moving mid September to a less expensive 2 bedroom apartment, which is $1350 per month. The only assistance she gets is with food stamps. I can tell you that this girl is as sweet as can be, has a good head on her shoulders, but carries a weight that no 22yo should carry. Not to mention that she has never really had the time to even grieve properly as she was thrown into legal guardianship shortly after losing her mom and her dad all within a year from each other.

She does not know I am trying to raise funds for her. But my goal is to help her with at least 3 months of bills and to see about getting her car repaired or maybe a down payment for a used car. Which she may need as she has already put in over $5K worth of repairs and is not worth putting any more money into it at this point.

I am desperately asking for donations for this young girl. Donate the morning coffee you get, the nails you are getting done, the glass of wine with the girls, the drink with the guys, tomorrows lunch or dinner.
