Dear friends,

I write to you today with a heavy heart as we unite to support a truly special family during an incredibly difficult time. My dear friend’s son, Jimmy, has been faced with unimaginable challenges following a tragic motorcycle accident that claimed the life of his father, Daryl, last week. In the blink of an eye, their world has turned upside down.

Jimmy was airlifted to Melbourne with his devoted mum, Donna, and his sister, Holly travelling close behind. The trauma of losing their beloved father is compounded by Jimmy's own critical injuries; he was placed in an induced coma due to severe pain, enduring numerous surgeries that have stretched over the past week and at this point, more to come over the weeks ahead.

It’s heartbreaking to think of what this young boy has already been through at such a tender age.

Unfortunately, amid this turmoil, Donna is now unable to return to work, placing an additional burden on the family. With rising living expenses and an uncertain future looming before them, they face significant challenges during this painful journey of recovery and grief.
