Fundraiser for Essential Medical Supplies in the Philippines

Hello! My name is Sarah, I'm currently studying as a child nurse in Manchester fundraising for medical supplies for Iloilo, Philippines.

Hospitals in the Philippines often struggle with shortages of even the most basic medical tools like gloves, gauze, IV fluids, and sterile syringes - things we take for granted - and greatly benefit from donations for supplies critical to patient care. I've seen first-hand in my training at university the incredible difference robust and effective healthcare systems can make on peoples lives and I wish to offer any support I can to this amazing city to access basic medical equipment.

This June to July I have the incredible opportunity to volunteer at a hospital in Iloilo for 6 weeks with local students, nurses and doctors. While I’m incredibly excited to learn from these healthcare professionals and learn about other cultures, I’m also preparing to help provide essential medical supplies to hospitals that are severely under-resourced.

I humbly ask for your support in bringing aid to these underserved communities. Your donation no matter the size directly impacts their lives.

If I haven't convinced you to donate already, I will be hiking Snowdon which is just a small personal challenge to support a greater cause. I hope to raise funds for medical supplies I will take directly to the hardworking doctors and nurses in Iloilo who do their best with limited resources.
